What are the aims of the course?

This course provides candidates with an appreciation of what to expect from a manual handling assessment and will enable employees to develop safer manual handling techniques in the workplace.

What will I achieve?

This is a nationally recognised Level 2 course, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. At the end of the course candidates will sit a short multiple choice examination.

  • Learn the value of risk assessment and how to apply it
  • Apply the principles of safer handling to a range of everyday manual handling tasks
  • Make recommendations to manage risks

This course is an Ofqual regulated qualification.
