This course is designed for employees who must obtain a First Aid At Work certificate to become the designated First Aider in their workplace and also for those who want the most comprehensive introduction to First Aid
The Health & Safety (First Aid) 1981 regulations require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This course will equip delegates with the knowledge and practical experience to enable them to carry out First Aid within the workplace.
By the end of the course the delegate will have covered how to act safely, promptly and effectively during emergencies at work to a recognised national standard. The delegates are assessed via a practical exam. If successful they will receive a First Aid At Work certificate, which is valid for 3 years.
This qualification can be taken as a free-standing award or as part of a wider programme of training.
