What is EN1090?

BS EN 1090 ensures you comply with the mandatory UKCA or CE Marking process, enabling you to supply structural steel and aluminium products to the UK or European markets.

Post-Brexit regulations require you to use the new UKCA mark if you are placing product into the UK market and the penalties for not having a compliant Factory Controlled Process (FCP) in place are severe.

Centre for Assessment has agreements in place with European Notified Bodies, enabling us to offer EN 1090 certification if you are required to CE mark your products. This means we can certify clients of any execution class across the UK, Ireland or beyond.

Transfer your Certification to Centre for Assessment

If you are already certified to the BS EN 1090 Standard with another UK or EU body, you should consider transferring your certification to Centre for Assessment. To help you prepare for your EN 1090 audit, Centre for Assessment offers a pre-audit service. Spending time with one of our lead auditors for a day will help you evaluate your readiness for the formal audit. The pre-audit will include an action planning session so that you know what improvements need to be made prior to your EN 1090 audit.

Although Centre for Assessment does not offer a consultancy service, we can provide you with a list of independent consultants who will be able to help you implement the requirements of EN 1090.
