Who are we?

Based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, we are a national collective of experienced and qualified experts in management systems, focusing primarily on ISO standards-based systems. We have helped organisations of all sizes obtain and retain certification to a wide range of standards, including the top three used standards globally - ISO 9001 (quality management systems), ISO 14001 (environmental management systems) and ISO 45001 (health and safety management systems).

Established in 2013, Episode has worked with organisations as diverse as one of the world's largest project management consultancies to one-person SME's, both in the UK and overseas in the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Gabon and Nigeria, many of whom continue to use our services. As well as one-off projects We provide an ongoing managed service to keep your systems up to date and certified, and guarantee gaining, & retaining, certification. Billed monthly, we spread the cost over an agreed period, avoiding the up-front costs of becoming certified initially.

Episode is certified to ISO 9001:2015, quality management systems, by a UKAS accredited certification body.

But the certificate wasn’t the main reason we went through the certification process. As we are growing, we know we need robust systems and processes ourselves to continue to deliver the highest levels of service we are known for.

Qualified experts
Here are Episode all our consultants are highly experienced auditors. We have all done the same courses and sat the same (IRCA) exams as the Certification Bodies auditors (the people who certify your systems). In this way you know that you will always have successful audits as we know what your certification body auditor is looking for.
We also have years of real-world experience both auditing and managing systems. Many of our clients choose not to have an HSE or Quality Manager; they find it far more cost-effective to outsource that to Episode. Without betraying commercial confidences of other clients, we are able to give you help and advice about system and process improvements, having seen how other people do things and sharing that best practice is invaluable to our clients.

Episode has worked with over 60 clients, more than half continuing to use our services via a managed service agreement.
